Original Music from the Central Coast
Joelyn Lutz writes and sings her own songs, and plays them on the Pismo Beach pier and at house concerts, wineries, and retreats up and down the coast. Rock, country, jazz, and R&B roots, tuned to 432 Hz.

Four decades of songs, all her own
Joelyn started out in the 1980s playing lead guitar in Teazer, an all-woman rock band, and went on to teach voice and guitar for years. Somewhere along the way the songs turned inward: love, connection, the natural world, and what it means to show up for each other.
Today she performs only her own material. A set might move from a slow ballad to something you can dance to, but every song started at her kitchen table in Pismo Beach.

All of Us
Her most recent album. Songs about connection, written to remind us that we matter to each other. Like everything Joelyn records, it was made in 432 Hz tuning.
Upcoming shows
Joelyn plays regularly on the Pismo Beach pier and at venues around San Luis Obispo County.
Next pier dates are being confirmed. Joelyn posts them first on TikTok and Instagram at @j_lutz_, and they appear on the live shows page as soon as they are set.
Tuned a little lower, on purpose
Most modern music is tuned so the A above middle C vibrates 440 times a second. Joelyn tunes hers to 432, both in the studio and on stage. It is a small difference, about a third of a semitone, that many listeners describe as warmer and more relaxed.
